We are very pleased to be hosting Ashtangi Nicky Knoff at our Centre on Friday night, where she will be giving a free talk.
In today’s culture of ‘instant yoga teacher’, it will be refreshing to hear from a teacher with so much experience and knowledge.
Nicky, whose knowledge is distilled over 40 years of intense study, is considered by many as one of the greatest yogis of our time.
Everyone is welcome – we hope to see you there. Nicky’s talk starts at 7pm and will go for about an hour.
Nicky follows her talk with two workshops over successive weekends, starting this Saturday. There are still free places – book here.
Sat 11 – Sun 12 April 2015
Nicky’s teaching focuses on showing students how to look, listen and feel by honouring their ‘inner wisdom’. Her teaching represents a bridge between Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga – intelligent, anatomical alignment combined with linking internal energetic principles.
Practitioners of all levels and traditions are invited to attend this rare opportunity to study with Nicky.
Sat 18 – Sun 19 April 2015
This workshop will progress on from the Foundation Workshop and is based upon the same Principles of Practice but incorporates a higher level of Asana, Pranayama and Meditation from the Knoff Yoga Level 3 Teacher Training Program.
Queensland-based Nicky Knoff is a 4th-Series Ashtanga-Vinyasa Yoga Practitioner, Certified Senior-Iyengar Yoga Teacher, Certified College-of-India Teacher with Bikram Choudhury, Long-Term Vipassana meditator, WWII-concentration-camp survivor, and founder of six yoga schools in New Zealand, Australia and America.
There is a 10% discount for those attending both workshops.
